We had Lennon, Jenn, Kyla, Tawney, Cali over for dinner. Jenn made this great cheese dip and I made orzo and they brought over fresh tuna and some other fish that Lennon blackened and it was very yummy!! I made a peanut butter ice cream cake.

Hammell Company Picnic

We were invited to go to Hammell's company picnic and boy was I glad that we went because the girls had a great time! There were pony rides and Melissa LOVES horses she says giddy up all of the time and rode like a big girl, of course Daddy had to walk with her just in case but she did great. They had 2 moon bounces and a clown making balloons and a magician that did a great magic show. Megan for the first time was not afraid of the clown.

Surprise Party for Dominck

We only brought 1 stroller and Megan fell asleep before Melissa so I asked the waiters for a tablecloth and put it on the floor and she slept the entire time.

We went to New York on July 12th to celebrate my stepfather's 80th Birthday!! My mom has been planning this for months and it finally is here. We left on Friday early in the morning and went to my friend Nancy's house and spent the day with her, then we got to my sisters house that night and Saturday went to a very nice Italian restaurant. I was praying that the girls would behave yet luckily they slept almost for the whole party. I was worried because 5 hours at a restaurant for a 1 year old and a 4 year old would have been alot to deal with!!

Painting Continued

Now Melissa's room was a walk in the park compared to Little Miss Megan's room. Megan and I went back to Lowe's with her pillowcase from her comforter and originally I wanted to do Lavender because purple is her favorite color yet she has such a pretty comforter that Lavender would not really match so I picked out a few colors and let her choose what she wanted and she picked a color called nice berry- well its a bright pink and I was like ok that looks nice well when I started painting on Friday it was such a blotchy color and me being a non professional painted you could see any and EVERY flaw, by the time I had finished the first coat Sean came in the room and hated it! We were ready to go get a primer and change the color but we decided to put another coat on and see what happens well yes it is a very bright color yet it has grown on me and now that Sean put the chair rail on it looks a lot nicer- Megan wanted the same exact room as her sister yet I talked her into having something different yet if it were up to Sean he wanted to also do half walls on Megan's room yet I did not want that so maybe in a few years when we paint again we can do something like that. So I am exhausted and Sean still has one more chair rail to put up yet Megan is back in her room on her sleeping bag until tomm when we finish her room up. I honestly am thinking of starting my own painting company hehe- not sure why painters charge so much!!

Painting 101

So I have not had Aiden since last Monday so I have been thinking of painting the girls rooms and finally decided to do it since I had the time- I started this past Tuesday - the girls came with me to Lowe's and I picked out the colors that I wanted for Melissa's room- Jenn's baby's room helped me decide to do Melissa's room this way- Thanks Jenn!! Anyway I went with a lighter Green and Pink- I ordered my chair rail through Katie from AWM (my old company) and what a GREAT deal I got!! So I woke up with Sean on Thursday Morning at 5am and started painting while the girls were asleep- they woke up around 7:30 so I stoped and continued at nap time and by the time Sean got home from work I was done with the first coat. I closed the door and put the fan on and finished the second coat when the girls went to bed, now Melissa's room is the smallest room in the house but I have to say that I was pretty proud of myself and what a great job I did. Then Friday we borrowed some things from Mr. Phil (one of our neighbors) and he came and showed Sean how to install the chair rail and Sean put it in and was done by Friday night- So we basically worked all of the 4th yet I was glad that we did because the room looks great and Melissa finally gets her room back (she has been sleeping in the living room in her pack and play.

Sean gave Megan a bath a blew her hair with a part in the center it looked so funny- and a before and after picture of Charlie who needed a haircut so bad because his hair was so long that it was covering his eyes!!

Megan's 4th Birthday

Well my baby turned 4 on the 19th of June!! I can't believe how fast these four years have gone! She is such a funny little girl that surprises me every day. We had her party in the backyard and it was a lot of fun- we rented a moon bounce which was a hit!! We had all of her cousins and friends and friends from her old daycare. She got so many nice gifts including a Barbie Jeep which she loves.
